Salisbury, Vermont Built circa late 1700s and mid 1800s By noting the joinery used to build the bones of this structure, architectural restoration experts have ascertained that the left half of the barn dates back to the 18th century with the right half being added on in the mid 19th century. Over the ensuing decades, the barn was used for horses, milking cows and hay. Three families have owned the structure since the 1950s where it was used mostly for hay and machinery storage right up through the 1990’s. The current owners run a successful dairy operation on the surrounding land, but the barn itself is no longer structurally sound and sits vacant.
